Panasonic introduces the new Lumix FZ330 bridge camera. The upgrade of the successful Panasonic Lumix FZ200 includes a 24x optical zoom (25-600mm equivalent) with a consistent f/2.8 aperture. The 12.1 megapixel sensor now boasts the new VENUS engine. It allows the camera to deliver sensitivity up to ISO 6400, while retaining a crisp clean image.
More new features included a full splash and dust proof design, and all new 4K video shooting resolutions. The FZ330 records 3840×2160 resolution at 30p(60Hz) / 25p(50Hz) or 24p in MP4. It can also use the new 4K capture mode to snap 8 megapixel resolution stills and extract them from the 4K video.
Also announced is the Panasonic DMC-GX8 Micro Four Thirds camera. The have upgraded the sensor to include there new Venus Engine and Dual Image Stabilisation System creating sharp images up to ISO 25600. Like the Panasonic FZ330 the camera body is now splash and dust resistant, shoots 4K video resolutions with 8MP still facilities. Also included is a full magnesium-alloy body with a tiltable OLED viewfinder and a 3.0” vari-angle screen. This helps with all types of shot, including macro and overhead crowd shots.
