The other week having read a few online reviews I decided to buy a Panasonic 12-32mm F3.5-5.6 Pancake Zoom lens to attach to my one Olympus OMD EM5. I was drawn by some good reviews and the fact that when attached to the OMD EM5 this tiny lens offers potentially an ideal and portable combination with the EM5 which isn’t exactly. The two combine should be a good “standard” combination.
And so its turned out. I was rather impressed by the optical quality of the 12-32mm pancake lens, OK its not a 12-40mm F2.8 Zuiko zoom or quite as good as Panasonic’s own 12-35mm F2.8 zoom but then its a third of the price and a lot smaller & lighter. As a standard zoom its ideal especially if attached to one of the smaller m43rd camers like say the Panasonic GM1.
